Nicolas Sarkozy was the first to announce that he was running as a candidate for the presidential elections in France in April 2007.

In april 2004, he was just Minister of Interior at the annual UMP (Union for Presidential Majority) congress.

The first time I noticed him, I instinctively knew he was going to be the next president of France. As a photographer, intrigued by his strenght, I decided to start working on him to discover who he was and what political machine was behind him.

Immediately, I decided that work would end after the second round of the presidencial race.

I didn’t know where I was putting my feet.

During the all period I was working on this subject, images and words of Nicolas Sarkozy fulfilled hundreds covers, thousand pages with millions pictures.

Surprisedly, I haven’t sold a single one !
