Burundi is one of the smallest African countries, located in the Great Lakes region, bordered with Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania and Rwanda. Culturaly Burundi is famous for beeing the Nile river spring, and the world-famous Royal Drummers of Burundi.

During the last fifteen years, the country has been on war for more than ten years. A Ethnical war, Hutus against Tutsis, or Tutsis against Hutus.

But a different story with the neighbour : Rwanda. In Burundi Tutsis have political and military power.

To avoid a major conflict, in 2000, the President of Burundi, major Pierre Buyoya, decided to isolate one million hutus into displaced camps !
